Who is PXLR?

PXLR is over 12 years of experience in designing, building and developing websites. Most of the work I do is Drupal now, but I've got plenty of experience in straight HTML, including HTML5/CSS3 work for applications.

PXLR is a creative outlet. I've got ideas piled up in the back of my head. PXLR is my way of bringing these ideas to life.

PXLR wants to provide services for the little guy (or gal) so that they can grow into the next big thing. PXLR's main focus is on Drupal theming. Much of the service I provide is theming work for big projects by other companies. If my portfolio looks small, this is why. I can direct you to other sites I have provided theming work for. If you are looking for someone to theme your next Drupal project, contact me! I'd love to help.

PXLR was started to help make sure that anyone, whether it be a small business or a church, has access to a website that is affordable, looks great and can be expanded upon at any time in the future. The backbone of this idea is Drupal. A common misconception about Drupal is that it takes too long to get up and running. The truth is, while it's not quite the 5 minute install that Wordpress can be, the time needed to get a fully functional Drupal site up and running is much shorter than most people think. Drupal can work and look just like any other site. That's the beauty of it. The community of Drupal users is huge. The amount of talent out there is growing by leaps and bounds.

Our portfolio growing fast. I'd love to see it overflowing with awesome Drupal based websites. I'd love to see your site on top of the list.

PXLR is Mike Hoffman

I've been working in the web business for 12 years. In that time I've seen the web change over and over, from Internet Explorer 5-6 (the terrible years) to the awesome expanding world that we have today. I used to try to do everything, but now I'm staying more focused, on both Drupal and web apps (which is moving the mobile web right along). I'd rather be good at one or two things than ok at a hundred.

I've got an expansive list of work I've done outside of PXLR on my personal site at mikehoffman.org. If you're looking to hire me, check out both the PXLR portfolio and my personal portfolio as well.
